Beginning disc dogs
Safety: The most important aspect of training any athlete is SAFETY. Safety for the dog as well as his human is the focus of all training classes
Proper disc type and size selection for your dog.
Throwing: Ability to throw correctly and easily for a secure catch for your dog.
Catching: Introducing your dog or puppy to the concept of the game and improving his confidence of the catch. Increasing the k9 drive for the disc.
Retrieving: Don’t create poor habits, a fast retrieval with the disc is important especially if you wish to compete. (link to d2isc)

Throwing: Variety of throwing styles

Vaulting and overs: The recommended age limit for the dog is over 18 months. Do not attempt to vault or (high jump your K9 before he is ready. The proper equipment to safeguard the human is a must. Freestyle routines can be performed without vaulting or overs.
Flips: Flipping while catching the disc is always a crowd pleaser, but avoid injury and be sure your dog knows how to land. (pic of roxy)
Competition training
Dogs can compete in many different forums. A dog can begin his competition fairly early in his training by competing in the Toss & Fetch category. This category is frequently divided into novice, intermediate, and advanced divisions. Many competitions also have a Junior division for children to compete.
